Technology & the Future of Health Care Conference, the first of it's kind designed for forward-thinking front line health care providers who recognize the requirement to integrate technology into their practice. The purpose of our conference is to; define and understand digital health as front line providers, obtain relevant information which aids in guiding our delivery of health care, and identify health care challenges that have digital solutions.

Dr. Brown is a founder & CEO of the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN), one of the largest and most active integrated telemedicine networks in the world. Dr. Brown has won numerous awards for his work in Telemedicine, including most recently, a Meritorious Service Medal for his contributions to health care in Canada. An emergency physician who is a passionate advocate for telemedicine as a tool to improve access to care, quality of care and the sustainability of health care systems.

Dr. Yanick Beaulieu

Yanick is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Montreal & a practicing cardiologist-echocardiographer and critical care physician. He founded Innovative Imaging Technologies (IIT) & created Reacts, a digital platform that reinvents how we interact remotely to facilitate virtual collaboration.

Dr. Darren Larsen

Dr. Larsen is OntarioMD’s Chief Medical Officer (CMO). Dr. Larsen is a tireless champion of EMR adoption and optimization of EMRs and health informatics to empower Ontario’s physicians to enhance quality patient care and practice efficiency.


Dr. Sonny Kohli

Dr. Kohli is a practising Canadian Internist & Critical Care Physician, and faculty at both SingularityU Canada and McMaster University. He is the co-founder of Cloud DX, a Kitchener-based company utilizing unique sensors and raw data analytics to tackle grand challenges in health care. He is formerly a Canadian Space Agency astronaut candidate, trained Flight Surgeon and alumnus of the International Space University.

Andriana Lukich is the Program Manager of the Project Management Office (PMO) at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. During her 8 years of healthcare experience, she has held multiple roles all focused on leading change initiatives and supporting staff through transformational projects. Andriana holds a HBSc Kinesiology and a MBA from McMaster University.

Tara Coxon is the Chief Information Officer at St Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. During her 15 years of healthcare management experience, Tara has led a number of transformational change initiatives with extensive experience in the design and implementation of digital health solutions. Tara holds a BSc from the University of Waterloo and a MBA from the DeGroote School of Business.

Jennifer Haddon

A native Hamiltonian, Jennifer is the Global Digital Medical Director at Boehringer Ingelheim International GmbH in Germany. She led the BI Canada COPD Medical Affairs team and in 2011, she was seconded to Ingelheim, Germany as the Global Asthma Medical Affairs Team Lead. In the past few years, Jennifer and her colleagues have developed multi-channel educational programs in order for Boehringer Ingelheim to deliver timely, valuable and unique educational material to meet the digital needs of today’s health care practitioners.

Dr. Deepak Kaura

Dr. Kaura is 1QBit’s Chief Medical Officer & the Chair of the Board of Joule, a Canadian Medical Association subsidiary. Prior to these appointments, Deepak spent 5 years in Qatar with the Sidra Medical & Research Center, most recently as the Executive Chairman of the Foundational Clinical Services Management Group, where he helped to set new standards in patient care for women and children and led ground-breaking work in the application of machine learning to healthcare.

Dr Sunny Malhotra is a US trained Sports Cardiologist in New York. He is the founder of and health technology investor. Dr. Erika Bariciak

Dr. Erika Bariciak is an academic neonatologist at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario & the Ottawa Hospital General Campus. Among many other roles, Dr. Bariciak is the clinician lead for the Medical Informatics Research Group (MIRG) in Ottawa. She collaborates with computer, biomedical, and electrical engineers in the development of clinical decision support systems for the NICU and investigates novel neonatal imaging modalities.
